Apply for the FEMS grant
We are happy to announce that due to funding from FEMS, we will be able to offer grants to support Early Career Scientists attending the DMS 2024 Congress in Copenhagen this November.
These grants are offered to assist young researchers (Bachelor’s and Master’s students) with covering their registration fees and travel expenses, making it easier for them to participate in the congress.
FEMS GRANT is now also available for PhD students
PhD students/Early carrier scientists with connection to Danish universities, research institutions or industry can apply for a the FEMS grant to cover attendance (travel and registration) at the DMS 2024 Congress. The bursaries are kindly supported through our membership of FEMS. To apply for this grant, you’ll need to meet following requirements:
- Be a member of a FEMS Member Society (e.g. DMS) or be recommended By such a member
- Be an Early Career Scientist*
- Be an Active Microbiologist
- Be presenting author at the meeting (oral or poster)
* These are active microbiologists who obtained the highest academic degree – Bachelor, Master or PhD – less than five years prior to the application deadline date, or are a Master or PhD student. Periods of maternity/paternity leave, special leave or illness do not count toward this definition.
