Submit an abstract for consideration by the abstract review committee of the DMS 2024 Congress, to be held in Copenhagen, Denmark on Monday, November 11th, 2024.

Please upload your abstract in English with a maximum of 2000 characters.
We have provided an abstract form in Google where you can upload your abstract.
We also kindly ask you to select keywords to get a better overview of the different topics and interests for this year’s congress.
Please also indicate your preferences in terms of poster, oral or either form of presentation, when you submit your abstract.
Please note, that if you choose ‘Oral presentation’ in your submission it is only an indication of your wishes – you are not guaranteed an oral presentation at the conference.
All abstracts submitted will be reviewed by the DMS 2024 Abstract Committee.
You can expect to receive a notification from DMS on October 21st, 2024 as to whether your abstract has been selected for a poster or an oral presentation or if it has been rejected by the committee
We are happy to announce that due to funding from FEMS, we will be able to offer grants to support Early Career Scientists attending the DMS 2024 Congress in Copenhagen this November.
These grants are offered to assist young researchers (Bachelor’s and Master’s students) with covering their registration fees and travel expenses, making it easier for them to participate in the congress.
FEMS GRANT is now also available for PhD students
PhD students/Early carrier scientists with connection to Danish universities, research institutions or industry can apply for a the FEMS grant to cover attendance (travel and registration) at the DMS 2024 Congress. The bursaries are kindly supported through our membership of FEMS. To apply for this grant, you’ll need to meet following requirements:
- Be a member of a FEMS Member Society (e.g. DMS) or be recommended By such a member
- Be an Early Career Scientist*
- Be an Active Microbiologist
- Be presenting author at the meeting (oral or poster)
* These are active microbiologists who obtained the highest academic degree – Bachelor, Master or PhD – less than five years prior to the application deadline date, or are a Master or PhD student. Periods of maternity/paternity leave, special leave or illness do not count toward this definition.
