Membership & Benefits
The Danish Microbiological Society is a society for everyone who is concerned with microbiology.
Being a member of DMS gives you the following benefits:
FEMS benefits via DMS: DMS is member of FEMS (Federation of European Microbiological Societies). This means that members of DMS automatically become members of FEMS with the below benefits:
• Discount off the registration fee for FEMS congresses
• 25% discount off FEMS Journals and Oxford University Press books
• Possibility to apply for FEMS grants
Newsletters to members:
DMS members receive newsletters with information about microbiological events taking place in both Denmark and other countries.
Congress:
Every year DMS arranges an annual congress. Participants in the congress will be updated about the newest research in several different microbiological fields.
The congress is a really good opportunity to meet other microbiologists and exchange experiences.
Annual general assembly:
The DMS annual general assembly is held in connection with another microbiological arrangement.
Members of DMS can participate in both the general annual assembly as well as the following/connected microbiological arrangement.
Please note: You need to have a tie to Denmark either by living in the country or by working at a Danish institution. If you are not living or working in Denmark, you will need to be recommended by a researcher in Denmark.
