IUMS 2024

Join the International Union of Microbiological Societies

The 18th Congress of the International Union of Microbiological Societies (IUMS) will be in Florence (Italy) in October 23-25, 2024.

We will discuss the microbial genetics, molecular biology, gene regulation, proteomics and the applied aspects of microbiology, including biotechnology, clinical, medical, industrial and environmental applications.

In addition, we would like to take the opportunity of the 2024 IUMS meeting to increase the awareness of the importance of microbes for society and for the planet and discuss how we can actively work together to promote sustainable solutions that will preserve microbial diversity and maximize the global well being.  Special attention will be provided to facilitate the participation of young people both from high- and low-income countries.
